Emergency communications report a man robbed a guest staying at the at gunpoint this afternoon.
Communications describe the man as a black male with dreadlocks wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
An employee of the hotel said that the guest who was robbed called the front desk after the robbery, and that hotel employees contacted the police.
When contacted by Patch, Springfield police said the investigation was still active and they could not give out any information. We will update as more information comes available.
