Springfield: The Art of Pottery

Pottery Show and presentation by the local artist Robert Goldberg.

The Donald B. Palmer Museum of the Springfield Public Library will host an exhibit of pottery created by Springfield resident Robert Goldberg from September 10th through November 3rd.

Mr. Goldberg got his start as a pottery instructor at the Columbia High Adult School and has also taught privately for many years. He currently takes ceramics classes at the New Jersey school of Visual Arts in Summit and is a member of the Mew Jersey Craft Guild. His pottery techniques include firing in a electric kin, Sager firing and RAKI. Mr Goldberg’s work has been on exhibit in Summit, Millburn, Red Bank, Lyndhurst and Ocean Grove.

On Monday, September 29 at 7:00 PM Mr. Goldberg will also present a program about the art of pottery that will offers attendees a chance to learn more about the various techniques and materials that are used in this ancient art form.
