Auditions for To Kill A Mockingbird, the Pulitzer Prize Award winning drama by Harper Lee and dramatized by Christopher Segel, will be held on May 12 and May 14, 2014.
Call-backs, if needed, will be held May 18. The production is being directed by Steve Lemenille (Clark, NJ) with Jessica Foerst as Associate Producer and produced by Fearless Productions, LLC.
To Kill A Mockingbird is the story of
a young girl, Jean Louise Finch (Scout) confronting deep-seated prejudice, it pits a young Scout Finch and her (relatively)
anti-racist family against the segregation of an American South in the grip of Jim Crow. Author Harper Lee drew on her own childhood experience for the events of To Kill A Mockingbird. Scout's father, Atticus Finch, is the attorney who defends a black man accused of a serious crime.
Auditions will be held at the
Hamilton Stage (Union County Performing Arts Center), 360 Hamilton
Street, Rahway, NJ from 7:00-9:30pm. The cast consists of 12
males and 8 females with extras. Ages range from 8-70.
Rehearsals are expected to be conducted through the summer.
Production dates are September 19, 20, 26, 27, October 03, 04 at 8:00
PM; September 21, 28, October 05 at 2:00 PM.
