The repaving of Morris Ave from Short Hills Ave to Mountain will start immediately with concrete and joint repairs followed by curb and sidewalk repairs which will last approximately two weeks.
Once this work is completed, milling and paving will commence during the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., all other work will be done during normal day time hours. The project should last 6-7 weeks with minimal interference to daily commuting. The NJ DOT contracted the maintenance and repaving of this portion of Morris Ave with Lucas Construction Group, LLC.
This a continuation of major road improvements through Springfield for 2012.
