Recycling Pays Off

Recycling Tonnage Grant Awarded

The Township of Springfield has been approved to receive a Recycling Tonnage Grant award of $28,153.08 from the Recycling Awards Program.

Senator Tom Kean,  Assemblyman Jon Bramnick, and Assemblywoman Nancy Muñoz, on behalf of Governor Chris Christie and Commissioner Bob Martin of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, informed the township of the award.

This grant is awarded annually to promote recycling through the annual recycling awards program that is coordinated in conjunction with the Association of New Jersey Recyclers.  This program generates positive publicity for New Jersey’s recycling programs and recognizes Springfield's outstanding recycling achievements.
