"BunkConnect" Program Offering 40-60% Discounts On Sleepaway Camp
Foundation for Jewish Camp helps make camp more affordable

The magic of sleepaway camp: kids discovering new things about themselves. A new program from The Foundation for Jewish Camp now makes this opportunity more affordable. BunkConnect is the newest and easiest way for income eligible families with first-time campers to find great summer experiences at participating overnight camps.
“Camp paid off in ways I didn’t even expect – the confidence instilled in Ethan. His experience reinforced our decision to invest in our kids attending camp for many summers,” said Madison, NJ resident Michele Pullaro, about her son’s first trip to camp last year through the BunkConnect pilot. “I rank it up there with saving for college.”
Through an online interface, parents can explore discounts between 40%-60% off at over 75 select Jewish sleepaway camps nationwide. BunkConnect aims to assist families who may believe camp is out of reach. Families can instantly check their eligibility and review the savings offered for specific camps right online ( www.BunkConnect.org).

One Happy Camper NJ is a free service, providing guidance and help to local families looking to find the right sleepaway camp or teen program.
“I am thrilled that the discounted BunkConnect program is a part of our camp offerings,” said Tracy Levine, Director, One Happy Camper NJ. “The ability to share additional options for summer camp with interested families who thought it was not financially feasible is of prime importance. We want everyone to know that they can make summer camp happen for their child. No matter what your Jewish background, there’s a camp where your child will have fun, be comfortable and learn more about themselves.”

The BunkConnect program provides an alternative opportunity to the existing One Happy Camper grant program – which provides incentive grants of up to $1000 for children attending nonprofit, Jewish overnight camp for the first time. Families of first-time campers, including Jewish day school students, who are not receiving a One Happy Camper grant, are encouraged to explore their options through BunkConnect program offerings.
