DONATIONS SOUGHT FOR AUGUST BOOK SALE

DONATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR SPRINGFIELD LIBRARY FRIENDS AUGUST 2014 BOOKSALE

Donations of clean, well kept, hard cover and paperback books, DVD’s, CD’s and ducational

toys may be brought to the Springfield Library, 66 Mountain Ave., now through August 2.

please call 973-376-4930 ex 221 to arrange for a drop-off at the back door.   Please place

donations in small to medium size boxes.  Books in poor condition, Readers Digest

Condensed books, and text books are not saleable and will not be accepted.  Donations of

 fine and costume jewelry, recent popular magazines, and some paperback books are

 accepted at the Circulation Desk all year.

There will be a preview sale on Monday, August 4, 10am-noon for members of the Friends. 

Memberships will be accepted the day of the sale.  Memberships start at $10.  The Public Sale

will begin at noon on August 4.  Sale hours are:  Mon. Aug. 4 noon-4pm, Tues. and Wed.   

 Aug. 5 & 6  10am-4pm.  The sale will end on Thurs. Aug 7  10am - 4pm with a bag sale.  Each

filled bag will cost $5 and the Friends will provide the bags.

The Sale will also include a selection of costume jewelry.  The Friends Annual Jewelry Sale will

be October 17-18 with a preview sale for members on Oct. 16, 12-2pm.

All proceeds from the sale go to support library programs and materials.
