ART EXHIBIT: “RALPH THE SQUARE NOSED RHINO”

From October 20th to November 19th
the collection of the original book illustrations of “Ralph the Square Nosed Rhino” by Denise Devone will be on display at the Donald B. Palmer Museum
in the Springfield Free Public Library.


An artist reception will take place on Sunday,
October 28th   at 1:00 pm at the Palmer Museum. 


The  book, “Ralph the Square Nosed Rhino” written by Craig Bobcock , is intimately rendered and a very enjoyable read for all.

Denise Devone is a recipient of an NJSCA
fellowship, her work has been exhibited in numerous shows – solo, two persons
and group – in New Jersey, Hawaii, Japan and California. Her work can be found
in museums and private and corporate collections. She also illustrates books,
designs scenery, paints lunch wagons and does an occasional mural.


 Denise Devone has a BFA from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University and MFA from
the University of Hawaii. She is currently an adjunct professor at the County
College of Morris and the Fife & Drum teacher at Mater Dei Academy in Kearny.

             The Donald B. Palmer Museum is
located in the Springfield Free Public Library, 66 Mountain Ave., Springfield.


Hours of the exhibit are Monday, Wednesday, and
Thursday 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. On Sundays, the Museum is open from 1:00-4:30.  For information call (973) 376-4930.
