The Bible Players - Temple Sha'arey Shalom

The Bible Players, an entertaining duo of actor/writers who perform an interactive Bible comedy show, will present "The Quest for MenschHood" at Temple Sha’arey Shalom's annual Chanukah Party on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 10:00am - 1:00pm.  The entire community is invited to celebrate with us!  Admission is FREE.   The fun starts at 10:00am with Brotherhood's Annual Brunch, featuring bagels, schmears and sides, along with an abundance of delicious latkes and desserts.  The Temple's Brotherhood will be selling latkes to go--a bag of seven for $10.  They will also be selling imported Israeli olive oil (750 ml bottles) for $10.  Andrew Davies and Aaron Friedman, "The Bible Players," appear from 11:00am - 11:45am.  They encourage lots of audience participation during their interactive Bible comedy show.  "The Bible Players" use improv games and funny scenes to teach stories from the Torah, Tanakh and the Jewish holidays, entertaining young and old alike.   You can learn more at www.thebibleplayers.com.  The fun continues with Chanukah crafts for children from 11:45am-12:45pm, with a $6 cost for crafts per child.  Throughout the party, Sisterhood's Judaica Shop will be open for business, with an array of gifts, toys and other items for sale.  You will be able to purchase books for all ages at the Temple's Religious School Book Fair.  The Senior Youth Group is running a coat drive, so bring a gently-used coat for donation.  There will also be blood pressure screenings and an opportunity to create Child Safety ID's.  There's something for everyone!   All are welcome.  For more information, call the temple office at (973)379-5387 or visit  www.shaarey.org.
