Union County is planning to pave Meisel Avenue. The project will begin on October 7 and will last about one week.

The problem is the work is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. and continue to 6:00 a.m. - What are they thinking? This is a residential neighborhood.

The county did a similar thing a few years ago when they paved South Springfield Avenue. The noise and vibrations from the heavy machinery and jack-hammers was inhumane.

There is no sleep - there is no escape.

We are a working class community. There are babies, school kids, working people, seniors. We can’t have this. No one can live like this. There can be no justification for this.

They paved Mountain Avenue, a commercial district, during the day. Why would they choose to torment taxpaying residents in this way?
