LUNCHTIME FILM SERIES

SELECTED 1940s CLASSICS - HITCHCOCK AND FILM NOIR

Don't miss the Library's first film in the new Lunchtime Film Series, a timeless and brilliant Hitchcock classic from 1941.  Wealthy, sheltered Joan Fontaine (who won an Oscar for her performance) marries charming ne'er-do-well Cary Grant, but gradually concludes that he wants to do away with her and collect her inheritance.  Admission is free and light refreshments are served at 12:30 pm.  Funding for the film program is made possible in part by the NJ State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through a grant administered by the Union County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs, and by the Friends of the Springfield Public Library.
