Off-Broadway Improv Comedy Troupe Comes to Springfield

Even though their name would make Dick Van Patten upset, Eight is Never Enough promises to bring the comedy.

Members of the comedy troupe Eight is Never Enough will take the stage in Springfield on Jan, 9 at Congregation Israel at 339 Mountain Avenue starting at 8 p.m. (the show was originally set for December, but was held due to weather). Presented by Mikvah Yisroel of Springfield, "A Night of Comedy" features a troupe of talented NYC comedians, good food and good laughs. It only costs $30 a person/$50 a couple or $100/sponsor (includes 2 tickets).  The price goes up by $5 when purchased at the door.

This troupe's show has been featured at the Times Square Arts Center (formerly the Laugh Factory) and other NYC locations. Of the fifteen cast members, you may have caught Lee Markham as Luke in "Altar Boyz," while you also get fresh new performers like 2008 College Graduate Katie Seigmund. The team focuses on "short-form" improvisation, specializing in music, physical comedy and old school slapstick. Comedian Walt Frasier, who leads the show, thrives off the audiences reactions.

"When there's an audience member who wants to go there, it's my job to push the show in the right direction," he said.
