Part time SFD

The links provided for proof of wasteful, excessive salaries ie our Fire Chief earning 149K not including the other benefits, the words of our own elected officials, mayors and former Safety committeeman who were correct in stating there is and was no a risk to the public's safety nor our FF's over the course of approximately 7 years illustrates the very low risk and high salary environment we are seeing in Springfield today. Risk is relative; in towns like ours the fire load is very minimal as our homes are well maintained...A Newark FF has a tad bit more chance of seeing fire and hence the risk that is associated with working in a underserved area then an SFD FF does...so stop ringing the false alarm BF and look at the crux of my posts...we are all sick of tax burdened waste, it is not acceptable and just because on the off chance our FF's may have to see a house fire once per year (which is a fact bases on our stats in town) does not mean they should be earning salaries and enjoying benefits that are from a bygone era. The waste in spending and lack of oversight is horrendous.
