Regina Sublima Music Box concert

On January 25, at 2 pm the Springfield Free Public Library presents concert of music played on the library's 1890 Regina Sublima Music Box.

Enjoy music as it was enjoyed in the time before ipods, Spotify and even radio. Representing the cutting age technology of the late 19th century Regina Sublima Music Box plays punched metal disks and produces a gorgeous and robust sound. The library’s Donald Palmer museum owns twenty two musical disk with the variety of musical styles.

This program is free and open to everyone.

To add to the 19th century ambiance, Friends of the Library will provide tea and other refreshments.
