Early Check-In Available for Springfield's Sprint for Schools 5K
Avoid lines Sunday morning by checking in between 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday.
Beat the wait at the check-in line Sunday at Springfield's third annual Sprint for Springfield Schools 5K by registering Saturday.
Early check-in and registration will be available from 4 to 6 p.m. today near the concession stand at Jonathan Dayton High School.
For those who can't get there this afternoon, registration and check-in open at 7:30 a.m. at JDHS. The race will begin promptly at 9 a.m.
Organizers of the event, which benefits the school district, said they anticipate the largest turnout yet. Over the past two years, the run has raised over $25,000 for the Springfield Education Foundation.
There will also be a Fun Run for children under the age of 9 which will also be held at JDHS, located at 139 Mountain Avenue in Springfield. The cost of the Fun Run is $10.
It's not too late to register. Registration will be open today as well as Sunday.
