Registration Underway for Second Annual Triathlon
Children ages 5 through 12 can enjoy a little friendly competition.
Athletes ages 5 through 12 can show off their swimming, biking and running skills when the Springfield Recreation Department hosts its second annual triathlon on Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Community Pool.
Each age group will start separately and training wheels will be allowed for those up to age 7. The cost for Springfield residents is $25 and $35 for non-residents.

5-6 15 yds 1/4 mile 1/4 mile
7-8 25 yds 1/2 mile 1/2 mile

11-12 100 yds 2 miles 1 mile

Registration on the day of the event begins at 7 a.m., with the first wave of the triathlon starting 8 a.m.
