Saint James the Apostle School Girls Club Spreads Valentine Joy

Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade members of the Girls Club at Saint James the Apostle School in Springfield delivered Valentine’s Day gift baskets to the residents at Sunrise Senior Living in Westfield last Thursday. The club’s 21 middle school girls planned and facilitated this service project by donating the items and personally creating the baskets. The event at Sunrise enabled the girls to spend time with the seniors and listen to their life experiences. This student-led volunteer opportunity left everyone smiling just in time for Valentine’s Day!
