Saint James the Apostle School Students Honor Veterans Day

The students at Saint James the Apostle School showed their respect and admiration for veterans at Springfield’s Annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park. Carrying flags and wearing smiles on their faces, the students walked from school over to the park. Students in the 8th grade read what it means to be free, citing the many freedoms enjoyed as Americans living in country served and protected by servicemen and servicewomen in the military. The entire student body showed their appreciation and thanks by singing “God Bless America”.
