Seventh graders at Saint James the Apostle School, Hanah Quinones, Kendall Ellmer, and Maura Duffy recently spearheaded a Breast Cancer Support Drive in honor of Hanah's mom, Ana Harper, who is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Ana was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 6 1/2 months pregnant with her now 4 month old healthy baby boy, Chase. The girls asked students and families to donated $1 to the cause in exchange for a pink dedication card which they placed on a Wall of Support. The girls devoted numerous recess periods to the drive and their efforts resulted in a collection of over $600 which will be donated toward breast cancer research so Ana's situation will one day be a thing of the past. Great job girls!
