Bart says my facts are opinions, I provide the facts and highlight that even during our seemingly most vulnerable time being "short staffed" our elected Town Officials correctly state based on a very low fire risk and occurrence we are and were not at any higher risk, there was no loss of life nor insurance increases. Then Bart tries to suggest I'm somehow wishing for a FF or civilian loss is a ridiculous distraction. Part time paid eliminates any supposed delay in response or staffing issue while saving residents millions which translates into a fiscally smart Fire Dept and moves our town in a direction towards decreasing our already astronomically high tax burden. People like Bart have no clue...typical political distraction; he says show credible references (Chief's salary near 150K before the thousands in fringe benefits), and when its posted for all to see (and reference on their own), he drops that topic and says I'm wishing on a death and that I'm delusional, really? Lowering taxes while maintaining safe fire coverage is sensible. Makes you wonder what Bart's reasons for supporting an unnecessarily wasteful system, perpetuating the SFD "Good Ole Boy" network perhaps? No career woman, no African Americans, no progressive plan to make our FD efficient and getting with the times? Purchasing all the latest and greatest toys when what we need is the basics that simply work without all the bells and whistles. Really? Common.
