Shabbat Under The Stars at Temple Sha’arey Shalom, Springfield
Temple Sha’arey Shalom, 78 South Springfield Ave., Springfield will hold the annual Shabbat Under The Stars, Friday, September 5. The evening will begin at 6:00 PM with a BBQ picnic dinner featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, sides, salads and dessert. At 7:00 PM a shofar blowing clinic will occur teaching the skills required to blow a shofar. Shabbat services will begin at 7:30 PM as we worship together and enjoy a wonderful Shabbath service under the stars.
Bring blankets and lawn chars. Cost for dinner is only $12.00 per person (maximum $48.00 per family). RSVP to the Temple office for dinner reservations, make checks payable to Temple Sha’arey Shalom. If you cannot join for dinner, come for the shofar blowing clinic and / or shabbat service.

The evening is open to all and the community is invited to attend . Shabbat Under The Stars is a great opportunity to meet Temple members and become acquainted with staff, clergy and to learn more about what Temple Sha’arey Shalom has to offer. About Temple Sha’arey Shalom: TSS is a mid-size Reform congregation affiliated with the Union For Reform Judaisn (URJ) serving Springfield and the surrounding towns of Union, Essex, and Somerset counties. The synagogue welcomes children, young adults, singles, seniors, and families of all shapes, ages, and sizes.
