SPRING BRINGS MORE TRANSACTIONS, HIGHER PRICE POINTS AND A SLIGHT BUMP IN SALES PRICE!
A quick update to the current Real Estate market in Springfield
Spring is finally here and the real estate market continues to be robust. There are currently 53 houses for sale in Springfield (as reported by Garden State MLS), but more impressive is that there are 42 properties Under Contract pending sale. Inventory remains low because as houses come to the market they are selling quickly (at least those that are not over-priced for the market).
Over the past half-year, the average home sale was $377,497 and there were 76 transactions. Comparing this to the same period of time last year, we are up +27% in the number of transactions and 1.5% in average sale price. We also continue to see a larger number of higher priced homes coming to market. Currently, over half (55%) of all the available properties are listed at over $400,000. Over a third (36%) are listed over $500,000.
