Springfield Is NJ's 71st Best District, New Ranking Says

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Data compiler Niche has ranked New Jersey's best school districts for 2019, and Springfield has come in among the top 100 in the state. The rankings were released this week as part of the website's 2019 K-12 rankings.

Springfield came in 71st. Several other Union County districts came in among the state's very best. Summit came in 4th making it the top-ranked district in Union County.

Westfield and Berkeley Heights cracked the top 25, and Cranford, Scotch Plains-Fanwood and New Providence were in the top 50.

Other Union County districts to make the top 100 include Roselle Park.

To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)

Each district received a letter grade in the following categories: Academics; Diversity; Teachers; College Prep; Clubs & Activities; Health & Safety; Administration; Sports; Food; and Resources & Facilities.
