I am so excited to be blogging about a very serious health and social issue in all of our lives...summertime pests.
As a parent of two young daughters (7 and 5) I want nothing more than for them to experience the outdoors this summer, mostly so I don't have to listen to constant bickering and whines of "Mommy, she's being mean!" So as any mom would opt to do I said, "Girls, flip flops on...let's go for a walk."
The girls danced along in the great outdoors. They frolicked through the grass and clung to trees as a make shift game of tag developed. At the end of our walk I was as exhausted as I thought the girls would be. They were still bouncy as ever until the unthinkable happened. My youngest, Miranda, found two ticks enjoying an early dinner on her ankle.
Lyme disease is a very serious issue in the summer months. Mosquito Platoon out of Chester, PA is fully equipped to attack the little buggers that want to snack on our little ones. Call the Platoon and ask about our 21-day barrier spray which will make ticks a non-issue this summer.
