Tenebrae Service at First Presbyterian Church
The First Presbyterian Church of Springfield will hold a Tenebrae Service this evening at 7pm in the historic church for Maundy Thursday. (4/17)This service includes scripture readings and corresponding hymns and anthems sung by the adult choir and soloists. Candlelight and interior lighting are reduced after each piece of music, creating a powerful energy as the story of Jesus's last hours are told.
This is a free event and open to the community.
