Two Men Charged with Shoplifting

Suspects charged with possession of narcotics in addition to shoplifting.

Police say two men were arrested for attempting to shoplift from the Bob's Store on Rte. 22. on Oct. 1. 

A Springfield police report said that Dem-Quan Royal of Plainfield was arrested by Det. Danielle Kahora for shoplifting at Bob's Store on Route 22 West.

Royal was charged with Shoplifting, use of anti-shoplifting countermeasure Device and the Possession of Narcotics, suspected to be heroin. Police say that Royal's alleged accomplice, Gregory Jamar of South Plainfield, fled the store but was arrested by Officer Marcos Vaz. Jamar was also charged with Shoplifting and the Possession of an Anti-Shoplifting Countermeasure device (wire cutters used toremove store security tags).
