With the mission to prepare high school students and their parents for the daunting college admissions process, 24-year-old Natasha Scott and author of The College Admissions Bible, hosted "Inside the College Admissions Process", an interactive workshop offering tips and tricks for tackling the college admissions process on Wednesday at the Watchung Booksellers (54 Fairfield St, Montclair, NJ). Scott, a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a Springfield, NJ native provided her personal reflections on the college admissions process, as well as discussed hot button issues like applying early decision and how to work the financial aid process.

"The college admissions process can be a bewildering journey, but it isn't an impossible feat. I want to break down the process as much as possible and show students and parents precisely what they need to do to apply for college without making them feel overburdened," said Scott, the recent author of The College Admissions Bible, a user-friendly guidebook that finally simplifies the intimidating college admissions process.

A graduate of Kent Place School (Summit, NJ), one of the nation's top college-preparatory schools, Scott drew on the strategies taught to her by Kent Place's college advisors and combined such tips with her own personal research and experience that helped her successfully navigate her way into her first-choice university. Her concise yet comprehensive handbook provides many how-to's from writing a balanced college list to constructing a winning college essay, and even includes Scott's own two essays she submitted to the University of Pennsylvania.

Natasha also recently launched The College Admissions Bible YouTube channel offering funny yet informative weekly videos pertaining to college admissions. “I want to connect with as many high schoolers and parents as possible and show there can be fun and excitement in the college admissions process,” says Scott.
