The 39th Scandinavian Fest returns to NJ Vasa Park in Budd Lake on Sunday, September 6, from 10am–5pm for a full day celebrating Scandinavian culture, food, music, history and traditions.
The largest Scandinavian festival on the East Coast brings thousands of visitors together each year. Guests can enjoy live Scandinavian entertainment, Viking combat and demonstrations, the Leif Ericson Viking Ship, blacksmithing, weaving, Hardanger embroidery, lace making, cooking demonstrations, traditional and Scandinavian-inspired food, Nordic-inspired vendors, children’s activities, and the 16th Wife-Carrying Competition.
General admission is $17, seniors 65 and up are $15, and children 12 and under are free. Tickets are available online at ScanFest.org and at the gate. Online ticket purchasers have a dedicated entry line at the front gate.
A cash bar will be available on site. Outside alcohol and pets are not permitted.

As summer winds down and the crisp air of fall arrives, New Jersey music fans will gather for one last outdoor celebration. On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the historic Swim &amp; Sport Club in Flanders transforms into a jam‑soaked festival field for a full day of music, food, and community. The event begins at 1:00 p.m. and runs until 9:00 p.m., offering an all‑ages experience of live jam‑band performances.
Lineup Highlights:
<ul><li>A Brother’s Revival (Headliner) — Led by David “Rook” Goldflies (Allman Brothers Band) and Mike Kach (Dickey Betts &amp; Great Southern), joined by local musician Eric Cohen. The band delivers high‑energy performances of Allman Brothers classics such as Ramblin’ Man, Jessica, Midnight Rider, Whipping Post, and Blue Sky.</li><li>Divided Sky — A dynamic tribute to Phish, performing favorites such as You Enjoy Myself, Bouncing Around the Room, Tweezer, Down with Disease, and Divided Sky.</li><li>Touch of Grey — Beloved among Deadheads, this tribute band recreates the music of the Grateful Dead with authentic instrumentation and harmonies. Local musician Eric Cohen joins the lineup, with classics including Touch of Grey, Scarlet Begonias, Friend of the Devil, Sugar Magnolia, and Truckin’.</li><li>Animal Instincts — Blending psychedelic rock, funk, and fusion, this Philadelphia‑based band delivers groove‑driven originals and jam‑inspired performances influenced by artists like The Meters, Frank Zappa, and Gov’t Mule.</li></ul>
Festival Experience: Attendees can enjoy a full day of music along with food trucks, a lively Beer &amp; Spirits Tent, themed merchandise vendors, and open space for dancing and community gathering. The event promises a vibrant atmosphere filled with unforgettable performances, tasty eats, and outdoor vibes.
