• Sections of Ocean City beaches remain closed for multi-million dollar beach replenishment project (cbsnews.com) — Beach replenishment crews will move on to Avalon and Stone Harbor after finishing current projects in Ocean City and Strathmere, meaning local beaches here are next in line for major sand work. The $19.5 million effort aims to widen beaches and better protect coastal communities from storm damage, though it will temporarily close rolling sections of shoreline where crews are active.
