6 New Members Added To Summit Police Force

Michael Alesandro was sworn in as Summit's newest Officer along with five new Auxiliary Officers on Sept. 19.

SUMMIT, NJ — Summit City Police Department added six new members to its force. One police officer and five auxiliary officers were sworn in by Mayor Nora Radest and Police Chief Robert Weck during the Sept. 19 council meeting.

The department's newest Officer Michael Alesandro was sworn in with his wife and parents standing at his side during the swearing in ceremony.

The Summit Police Department also welcomed five new Auxiliary Officers that were sworn in. Auxiliary Officers included: Anthony Campanelli, Kelly Connelly, Ximena Jaramillo, Danielle Luther and Anthony Natale, who all attended the John H. Stamler Police Academy in the early part of the spring and graduated in May.

Along with Weck, Sergeant Charlie Daly (Chief of the Auxiliaries) was standing by to congratulate the newest members.
