Here's Why This Surf And Turf Spot Chose Summit For Its New Location (patch.com) — Summit residents can look forward to Jack's Surf & Turf opening a new fast-casual location downtown, tailored for quick takeout dinners and commuter-friendly meals. 3. Summit Passes AI Data Center Ban, But Many Say It Falls Short (patch.com) — Summit residents are reacting to a newly passed ban on large AI data centers, which targets facilities using 20 megawatts or more of power or heavy municipal water. 4. Becoming An EMT Now More Convenient For Summit Residents (patch.com) — Summit residents interested in becoming EMTs will soon have easier access to certification, thanks to a new partnership bringing year-round courses to the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad headquarters. By eliminating travel and scheduling hurdles, the program aims to grow the local pool of trained EMTs and strengthen emergency response for the community.
5. Summit Council Appoints Andy Smith to Fill Vacant Ward 1 Seat (tapinto.net) — Summit’s Common Council has unanimously appointed local attorney Andy Smith to fill the vacant Ward 1 seat, restoring the governing body to seven members.
