SUMMIT, NJ — If you're driving around Summit this week, you may want to leave a few extra minutes for your commute.
The City of Summit is advising motorists to expect road work, possible closures and detours at multiple intersections and roadways throughout the city from Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17. Officials said the schedule is subject to change as utility companies update their work plans.

In addition, milling and paving work is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday on William Street, Sayre Street and Doremus Avenue.
Most work is expected to take place during daytime hours, generally between 7 a.m. or 8 a.m. and approximately 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., depending on the location.
City officials encourage drivers to plan ahead and expect delays when traveling through construction areas. The work schedule may change throughout the week as projects progress.
