Art Center Announces Winners of Members Show Juried Exhibition
Summer Members Show Exhibition now on view through September 11, 2016.

Summit, NJ (August 2, 2016)—On Friday, July 22 the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey opened its newest exhibition, Marylou Hillyer Members Show Juried Exhibition, highlighting the work of Art Center members and students. Juror Lauren Hinkson, a Guggenheim Museum curator, selected 39 pieces and the following awards and prizes were given:
From Maplewood: Richard Marr, Broad Reach, Marylou Hillyer Memorial Award for Best in Show; Mary Jean Canziani, Manual Pleasure Manual, Martha barns Memorial Award; and Linda Jacobs, The Kestane Seller, Juergen Theick Memorial Award in Photography.
From Summit: Jill Joseph, Longing, Curtis Hillyer Memorial Award. From Califon: Mary P. Sayler Kalb, Keeping Calm, Emeriti Award. From Essex Falls: Lenore Whitmore, Daddy’s Hands, Marian Anderson Memorial Award. From Fair Lawn: Bonnie Farber, Still Life, Promise Award.

From Basking Ridge: Michael Zambelli, Ventnor on the Side, Martha Venturo Memorial Award.
The show will remain on view in the Main Gallery through September 11. Also on view, Jill Kerwick: Lipstick & Other Stories, featuring the work of New Jersey artist Jill Kerwick.
