Dann Kabala will trace the evolution of NIL, discuss its far-reaching impact on college sports, and examine how the transfer portal and athlete compensation are reshaping today's collegiate landscape.&nbsp; Dann is Vice President of Name, Image, and Likeness at Rutgers University, where he oversees third-party NIL operations for all sports. Before joining Rutgers in January 2026, he spent eight seasons at Penn State, leading its NIL program and its 5th Quarter/Player Development department. The Summit Area Old Guard is a social, educational, and recreational fellowship of active men of retirement age, founded in 1930. We hear presentations most Tuesday mornings in an auditorium in New Providence, and we have many other activities including discussion groups, sports and outdoor groups, and celebrations. Veterans have important stories to tell, and expressing those stories is both instructive for us and healing to them.&nbsp; Nine veterans revealed their hearts and histories to nine Folk Project songwriters, who put those messages to music. The resulting songs will be performed at Troubadour Concerts on Friday, August 28.
They will be joined by Theresa Sareo, Veteran Advocate and Singer/Songwriter, in this consequential evening filled with meaning and healing.
Proceeds will go to benefit veteran healing programs.
