Carter and Cavero Comes to Summit Farmer's Market
Olive oil and vinegar stand adds new element to market.
There is a hot new stand this summer at the Summit Farmer's Market and it isn't selling produce.
The Carter and Cavero stand features olive oils and vinegars and allows its customers at the stand to taste anything, according to Communications Director Mercedes Wall.
“We offer five to seven different oils and some vinegars, too,” Wall says. “We offer flavors and non-flavors and we use Extra Virgin Olive Oil.”

The stand also includes other different products from olives and similar things.
Wall discussed why Carter and Cavero decided to come to the Summit Farmer’s market, pointing out several reasons, but mostly talking about the loyal customers of the market.

“Well first of all we are opening a store in Summit in mid-to-late July,” she said. “But also it is to greet the community. It should be a great experience; Summit is one of the more popular markets.”
The store is set to be located on Beechwood Road in downtown Summit. According to the website, locations also exist in Red Bank, Long Branch, and Princeton.
When shifting the focus to expectations this summer, Wall again pointed to community.
“This should be a wonderful opportunity for us to meet the people of the town,” she said. “We want them to get to know us and our products. It will be a good opportunity for them to experiment with our products.”
The last few weeks the stand has been quite busy, with customers buying olive oils for a variety of reasons. However, Wood keeps it simple when explaining the product.
“It is a great way to add flavor to food,” she said
This is the third feature on the vendors at the Summit Farmer’s Market. The Summit Farmer’s Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday in downtown Summit.
