Downed Power Lines Close Part of Morris Avenue in Summit
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area as delays are expected for much of Monday. afternoon and evening.
SUMMIT, NJ — Part of Morris Avenue in Summit is closed Monday after power lines came down in the roadway afternoon and evening, according to Summit police.
The northbound side of Morris Avenue is closed between Bedford Road and Beverley Road, with detours in place and heavy traffic delays expected.
Officials said drivers should avoid the area for the next six to eight hours while crews work to clear the scene and make repairs.
