Citibank Joins Community With SDI Donation
$2,500 check will fund annual flower boxes downtown.

Citibank employees presented a check for $2,500 to Saturday, as park at their 'Our Promise'compaign to give back to the communities they maintain branches in.
"Citibank is a great addition to our downtown and we look forward to putting this generous donation to good use beautifying tree wells throughout our central business district," said Nanette Kryston, chairwoman of Summit Downtown, Inc, in a press release.
Branch Manager Brent Cronnell said one of the reasons for donating to SDI is because of the ability to network with key members of the local business community.

"We made this donation to Summit Downtown Inc. because of their direct involvement with the Summit Downtown business area," he said. "They hold multiple activities monthly in which the local community and business owners take part."
Citibank will also host an "Our Promise" Community Day on May 22, 2010 and an "Our Promise" Kids Day on June 19, 2010.

"We are excited to show our customers in Summit and throughout the state just how committed we are to them through Our Promise activities," said Thomas W. Sebok, EVP, Area Director for Citibank's New Jersey South Region. "This effort is all about showing our customers how much we appreciate their business and about making a difference in their communities," he continued.
Debok also commented on the decision to open Citibank's new branch here in the Hill City.
"Citibank is committed to the New Jersey marketplace. We already have 31 branches in NJ and the Summit branch makes 32," he said. "We are always looking for opportunities to enhance our business and Summit provided an ideal location for us in many ways. The branch also increases access and convenience for our customers, especially for the many folks who commute between Summit and Manhattan, who now have the option to do their banking near home or work."
