Counterfeit Money Used In Summit: Police
A phony $100 bill was used to make a $4.68 purchase, police said.
SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Police Department are looking for the woman who used a phony $100 bill to make a purchase at a Summit Avenue business on April 6.
According to authorities, the police took a report was taken for a fraudulent transaction from a Summit Avenue business. The victim reported the incident occurred on April 6 when an individual made a purchase for $4.78. The suspect paid for the item with a $100.
The bill was discovered to be fraudulent when the owner of the business went to deposit it at the bank, police said. The suspect was described as a black female with long, black hair, police said.
