SUMMIT, NJ — The Summit School District announced last month that Schools Superintendent June Chang would leave at the end of the year, as he planned to move out of state to "pursue opportunities that accommodate the changing needs of his family."

On Monday, the Herald newspapers of Long Island reported that the Rockville Centre Board of Education plans to appoint Chang as the district’s next superintendent of schools at their Board of Education public work session Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. “My wife and I are elated to be welcomed into the Rockville Centre school community," Chang says in the story. He'll be present for a meet-and-greet just before the meeting.

Tuesday, Patch reported that Chang was chosen from a pool of more than 50 applicants. Read more here.
