Dogs of the Week - Help Tarzan and Jane find their "Forever" Homes

Tarzan and his sibling Jane are looking for their "forever" homes. Tarzan and Jane are 6-month-old Shepherd mixes.

Tarzan and his sibling Jane are looking for their “forever” homes. Tarzan and Jane are 6-month-old Shepherd mixes. Despite his name, Tarzan is a gentle soul. He is still learning to get along with his human friends. But given time, he will slowly open up and develop trust with people. He needs to be placed in a home with another dog so that he can learn how to be a member of a family. For the right family who is willing to be patient and give him the love and nurturing he needs, he’ll make an amazing pet. He is fully housebroken and crate-trained. Tarzan is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, and micro chipped. He is about 35 pounds and will be a large dog.

Jane is a real sweetheart of a dog. She is a very easy dog to care for. However, she is still learning to get along with her human friends. But given time, she will slowly open up and develop trust with her new family. Jane does extremely well with other dogs and must live with another canine friend. She needs to learn from a well-adjusted dog what life is like up here in NJ as she is still figuring it all out herself. For the right family who is willing to be patient and give her the love and nurturing she deserves, Jane will make an amazing pet. She is fully housebroken and crate trained. Jane gets along well with other dogs, and after spending a few hours at play, she loves curling up in her dog bed or crate to catch up on a much-needed nap. She is about 27 pounds and will be a large dog when fully grown. Jane is spayed, up-to-date with her vaccinations, and microchipped.

About Home for Good Dog Rescue:

Home for Good is a volunteer-based, 501(c) (3) non-profit animal rescue. We are a 100 percent foster based organization with an office in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Our organization is dedicated to rescuing dogs from deplorable conditions in kill shelters, tending to their physical needs and finding them a new loving home where they can thrive.

At Home for Good, we seek the best treatment for our animals. We provide medical care, training, support and hope. Our dogs are vaccinated and ID micro-chipped. We rescue puppies and dogs that are facing euthanasia. Some require surgery from a specialist to repair broken limbs, while others may need additional rehabilitation time and specific medical care for respiratory illnesses, skin infections, heartworm treatments, and emergency surgeries. Through our adoption services, these loving animals are given a chance at a fulfilled life.

Almost Home Wellness Center:

Help us build the Almost Home Wellness Center so more homeless dogs can get a second chance at life. By contributing to the Almost Home Capital Campaign, you will help build a wellness center for dogs that are in dire need of medical care and attention as they embark on their journey to find their forever homes. To find out more about the Almost Home Wellness Center visit the Home for Good website.
