On the heels of an incredibly well-attended campaign kick-off event last Monday, I am proud to confirm my candidacy for Mayor of Summit. I am inspired by the initial support from across the community and I am excited to build on that energy! Over the next several months I look forward to listening to neighbors and local leaders to learn more about what is important to them for the future of Summit.
As a dedicated community volunteer, former Summit downtown business owner and Family Medicine Physician who has lived in Summit for 22 years, our community and residents are like family to me and the single driving force of my candidacy. I am proud to have completed my residency at Overlook Hospital where the faculty selected me to be Chief Resident and the residents elected me President of the House Staff Association. While at Overlook my husband and I fell in love with Summit and decided to raise our family in this great city.
I am the mother of four children, two have graduated from Summit High School, one is a junior at Summit High School and the last is in 8th grade at Lawton C Johnson Summit Middle School.

My husband, Kevin, and I have been heavily involved in the Summit community for years. Kevin runs the Summit Youth Football program and has been coaching youth football since 2009. I have been President of Summit Board of Health, Summit Lacrosse Club, Summit Women’s Lacrosse Association, and Summit Boosters Association, Chairwoman of Santa Claus Shop and have been on the Boards of several other organizations, including The Connection and The Summit Junior Fortnightly. In addition, I have coached youth girls lacrosse for 18 years, perhaps my favorite endeavor of all time.
I am running for Mayor because I want to be a voice for ALL Summit residents. I believe that we can be better neighbors and create an even better community by working together and having an open dialogue.

My career has been based on listening and problem solving. My experiences both as an athlete and as a medical professional have laid the groundwork for me to be a trusted teammate.
My running-mates, my teammates, are fantastic and I hope you are fortunate enough to meet them and learn more about them. Once you get to know them, I think you will confirm the excitement! This team is well-rounded, thoughtful, trustworthy and passionate!
