The Enright Melanoma Foundation is proud to announce Rachel Jordan, Miss New Jersey, US International as their new spokeswoman. Rachel, a 22 year old from South Jersey, is a recent Rutgers University graduate, with a Journalism and Media Studies degree, and a desire to work as a broadcast journalist.
In December of 2012, Rachel was crowned Miss New Jersey for the Miss International Organization, the third largest pageant system in the world. Titleholders are required to have a “platform” that they will work to promote, through volunteer work, during their reign. Rachel has chosen Skin Cancer Awareness as her platform.
"We are very fortunate to have Rachel Jordan as our Spokeswoman”, said Foundation Executive Director, Janet Horowitz. “Her platform of skin cancer awareness makes her an excellent choice to help spread the important message of early detection and prevention of melanoma and other skin cancers, on behalf of the Enright Melanoma Foundation."

According to Rachel, “Skin cancer awareness is a cause that is near and dear to my heart, as I have witnessed close friends and family members struggle with skin cancer. Spreading awareness and providing education is an easy and worthwhile way to help prevent any form of cancer. I learned that a single pamphlet or a quick information seminar can truly go a long way and could even be the first step in early detection. “
Rachel Jordan will appear at the upcoming Celebrity Golf Invitational benefitting the Enright Melanoma Foundation and the Summit Medical Group Foundation on September 30, 2013 at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone.
