The Enright Melanoma Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Emily Altman, MD, FAAD to their Board of Trustees
The Enright Melanoma Foundation welcomes dermatologist, Dr. Emily Altman, to their Board of Trustees.
Dr. Emily Altman is a dermatologist with the Summit Medical Group (SMG). Before joining SMG, Dr. Altman was Medical Director and Founder of Advanced Skin Wisdom at Comprehensive Dermatology and Laser Center, LLC, in Livingston, New Jersey. She was previously Chief of the Division of Dermatology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, and a faculty member for New York University Medical Center Department of Dermatology. Dr. Altman is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatopathology, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, Women's Dermatologic Society, and International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease, among others. She is the coauthor of articles on a range of topics in dermatology, which are published in Annals of Allergy, American Journal of the Diseases of Children, and Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, to name a few. She is a reviewer for Journal of the American Medical Association Dermatology.Dr. Altman has been featured in the New Jersey Monthly "New Jersey's Top Doctors" listings. A sought-after writer of and expert consultant for online and interactive content concerning a wide range of topics in dermatology, she is the Web and Social Media Associate Editor for Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Altman also has earned the HealthTap Founding Expert Award, HealthTap Winter Top Doctor Award - Newark Area, HealthTap Top New Jersey Dermatologist Award, Top Doctor Competition Thought Leader in the Newark Region Honorable Mention, HealthTap Most Influential Doctor in the Morristown Region, and HealthTap Top Doctor in the Morristown Region. In addition to writing for the Summit Medical Group website and HealthTap, Dr. Altman is the author of a dermatology blog called Rash Decisions that is published on WebMD / Medscape.
