Ed Wise 7 His New Orleans Jazz Band will perform on Friday, July 27 in the Jazz on the Terrace series presented by Reeves-Reed Arboretum and co-sponsored by the NJ Jazz Society. This is an outdoor concert, so be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy jazz under the stars!
Ed Wise, bassist-composer-arranger, presents "Ed Wise and his New Orleans Jazz Band", featuring his original and imaginative arrangements of traditional New Orleans jazz.
During his twelve-year tenure in the Crescent City, he performed with and arranged for Al Belletto's Big Jazz Band and sextet, Connie Jones' Crescent City Jazz Band, pianist Henry Butler, guitarist Herb Ellis, and pianist/vocalist Mose Allison. In 2005, Ed appeared with Connie Jones' Crescent City Jazz Band at the winter and summer Umbria Jazz Festivals in Italy.
