Enlightening the Heart:
Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life

Becoming a compassionate person is a life-long process filled with challenges and rewards. Using Karen Armstrong’s latest book, "Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life," we will consider and practice specific steps to take in our daily life and relationships which can cultivate compassion—a central value in each of the world’s great spiritual pathways. We’ll study self-love, mindfulness, suffering, sympathetic joy and general concern for others, as well as explore the limits of even the most genuine compassion. Join us for a journey that can change your heart!
