The Season Kick Off Event at The Summit Playhouse will be 10/08/2011 at 7:00 P.M. There will be a welcoming reception and followed by a presentation in tribute to Betty Kaus. Mrs. Kaus worked at Summit Playhouse for over 60 years. The Kaus family had been extremely involved in our community and the "Kaus Way" which is located in downtown Summit was a previous tribute to the contribution her husband made over his many years in Summit.
Local notables will express how pleased all are that The Summit Playhouse (founded in 1918 and one of the oldest operating community theaters in the United States) will be opening this upcoming season with production number 30. This event is called, "A Scene Change" because there will be a new identity and branding program that will be introduced to the community. The event will culminate in a preview of the upcoming "Meet Me In St. Louis".
