
The Learning Laboratory at 36 Main Street in Madison will celebrate its one-year anniversary in February 2011. To mark the occasion, the center is planning to host a series of celebratory events.
Families are welcome to sign up for a free screenings, which will be offered on Saturday afternoons from 1-3 pm during the month. In addition, parents are invited to attend 2 free workshops. On Wednesday, February 9th the topic will be Creating a Quality I.E.P. Based on Individual Needs and on Wednesday, February 23rd the topic will be Fun Ways to Reinforce Reading, Writing and Math!
Children can participate in sample classes during Fabulous & Free Fun Days, which will take place during the February school break, from February 22st through the 24th. Sample classes will include: Story Hour for Pre-K, Discovery Science for Kindergarten, Reader’s Theatre for grades 1 & 2, Story Writer’s Workshop for 3 & 4th graders and Art Smarts, which combines literacy and art activities for both pre-k and Kindergarten ages.

During the month, the center will also hold several Giveaways, in which interested parents can enter to win one of several free classes, including afterschool reading & math enrichment programs, summer learning camps and tutoring services.
