SUMMIT CHORALE TO PRESENT “MASTERS OF THE VOCAL SYMPHONY”

The final concert of its’ 102nd season, “Masters of the Vocal Symphony,” will be held Saturday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m. at Prospect Presbyterian Church in Maplewood (646 Prospect St.)

The concert, which will feature Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Requiem” and Franz Joseph Haydn’s “Theresienmesse,” will mark Summit Chorale’s second collaboration of the 2010-2011 season with the Westfield Symphony Orchestra. The Chorale spearheaded a successful fundraiser through www.kickstarter.com to facilitate the orchestral relationship.

Also featured in the evening’s performance will be four professional soloists: Wendy Baker, soprano; Denise Mihalik, mezzo soprano; David Kellett, tenor; and Donald Boos, bass. A free reception will follow the concert, and all attendees are invited to attend and meet with the Chorale.
