The Summit Festival of Fine Arts and Crafts is returning to Summit for the second year in a row on Sunday, June 24. This upscale event will be outdoors along Beechwood Road, Union Place and Bank Street in the heart of the downtown shopping district and will feature artists and crafters who will display and sell artwork in media including: clay, wood, fibers, metals, glass, jewelry, watercolors, oil, mixed media and photography.
In addition to the exhibits of skilled craftsmanship, free musical entertainment will be provided throughout the day by a variety of talented performers. Headlining the event will be the Tony DeMeo Orchestra, a 17 piece orchestra dedicated to recreating the music of Frank Sinatra and Count Basie, playing music from the Great American Song Book. The sound they achieve is the result of the extraordinary musicians in the band and the great arrangements, many of which are originals that were arranged for Frank Sinatra when he performed with the Count Basie Orchestra.
