The Summit High School Performing Arts Department will present the Tony Award winning musical, “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” on Wednesday, March 2, at 6 p.m. and on Thursday through Saturday, March 3 - 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Summit High School auditorium.
This high-spirited musical comedy will have the entire family on their feet, dancing the Charleston! Set in New York City in 1922, the story follows Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the big city in search of a new life. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz — a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Based on the popular 1967 film, the Broadway smash includes a full score of uplifting songs
and spirited dance numbers.
Tickets are $10 for students and seniors and $12 for adults.
